It is not love

When a person tell you,

to be his only his,

but refuse to ask your wali,

for a proper blessing,

my sister,

that is not love.

When you spend hours on the phone,

arguing who hold the greater love for the other,

but neither of you remind each other,

to spend at least a small part of your time,

for the One who created love,

He is the Lord that you should love most,

my dear,

that is not love.

My friend,

please remember this always,

it is not love,

when it put Allah in second place,

it is not love,

when our deen is against it,

it is not love,

when once you lost it,

it left you with nothing to hold on,

other than some painful memories.
